A good study guide to an important NT book

We have used Charles Swindoll's James study guide with two separate Bible study groups and both times the guide proved extremely helpful in providing insight to the book of James and in starting discussions. Each chapter of the study guide discusses several verses of James (or, in a few cases, deals with passages from other books of the Bible that are related to the points James is making). There are 24 chapters altogether, which makes it ideal for completing the study in a year for a twice-monthly study or approximately six months for a weekly study.
Each chapter is somewhere between eight and ten pages in length, beginning with an overview of the themes and major points of the passage. This is followed by a "Living Insights" section that asks questions about the passage under consideration. There is space after each question in the Living Insights section for a person to write down his or her thoughts in the book itself. When we conducted the study we found that going over the Living Insights section in each chapter was a great way to get discussion underway.
